Thank you to Norton Barton Artisan Food Village for a private tour for Bude and Greater Area Chamber of Commerce members. So inspiring to have such an innovative, sustainable and truly Cornish company on our doorstep. It is also an example of a passionate team working together to create a collaborative business. Thanks to Sarah Marshall, David Rowe, Lily Harding and Tom Read for the hospitality and insightful talks on the different parts of the business.
We had a tour of the distillery and learned about the Gin and Rum products produced from scratch, as well as sampling the charcuterie and cheese (yes even vegetarian options) accompanied with the Popti biscuits.
Not only are they making great products, but they are also an inspiring example of reducing carbon footprint and creating their own energy sources (wind turbines and water borehole) as well as using waste products from one brand to create another. Their products are only sold in independent stores across the UK (check out Bellinis, Lansdowne Dairy and North Coast Wines in Bude).
If you haven’t discovered Norton Barton yet, then please do - a hidden gem.

We were very excited about booking in this tour! It was a great opportunity to get an inside view of a world-leading company, right on our door step.
It was great to welcome existing members and non-members to this tour, and it gave a chance to fit in some networking.
Thank you bott UK for having us! We hope to return again.

Here's what an attendee had to say about the workshop:
"It was truly a valuable opportunity to learn from business coaches and other attendees in how to persevere through all the waves of running a business, how to ensure your outcomes are reflecting the hard work you’re putting in, as well as pinpointing a plan of action in my own mind moving forward. And I will definitely be implementing those breathing strategies and body movements in times I need to relax too."
Hosted by Tina Collins, Rachel Walden and Paul Collins.
